In a long-term study which looked at green tea use in older men(middle aged and older) and found that those who consumed green tea daily may be helping to support healthy aging by raising testosterone, improving sleep, reducing inflammation, and potentially slowing brain aging.
Participants were divided into two groups: tea drinkers at one cup a day and a control group of rarely or never drank tea. Testosterone total in tea drinkers = 574.66 ng/dl and in the non tea group = 495.89ng/dl
Sleep, inflammation and brain aging were all improved in the tea drinking category.

Long term green tea drinkers had 51% lower odds of depression, 31% higher testosterone and larger brain volume in memory regions.
